The Cook Memorial Public Library District has a wide array of subscription
databases available for Cook patrons to access from their homes. Please
note that due to licensing issues the library is not able to provide remote
access to all databases we currently subscribe to. For complete access to
all of the Cook Memorial Public Library District Online Resources please visit a
Cook Memorial Public Library District library.
If you experience any problems accessing the online databases, please make
sure of the following:
- If the computer you are using is running behind a firewall
Our server is configured to provide access to databases on TCP/IP ports
that may be blocked by some firewall configurations. You will need to ensure that
your firewall is configured to allow connections to ezproxy.cooklib.org on
Ports 2048 and 2050-2250 as our server uses these ports to provide remote
access to databases.
- Your browser should be configured to accept Cookies
If it is not, you will be asked to re-enter your library card number
each time you use another database during a session.
